Fr. Castor with his own words
Student Experience
He was born on April 5, 1971. Since he was a child, he lived the experience of being persecuted for his religion at school, but he remained faithful to his family values and personal convictions, with exceptional academic performance
The Mathematician
He began to study mathematics at the "University of Oriente" in Santiago de Cuba, from where he was expelled for not having the required revolutionary ideas. He was an outstanding student, participated in international math competitions in Germany and held leadership positions in various student organizations.
Catholic priest
After being expelled he decided to enter the seminary to become a Catholic priest, he studied at the seminary "San Carlos and San Ambrosio" (Havana) and at the "Maria Mater Ecclesie Pontifical College" (Rome) he also studied English at "Georgetown University". As a priest he chose the biblical life motto "feed my sheep" He has been a member of the pontifical commission for missions and held various diocesan pastoral positions.
Work
He develops now his ministry at the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Camaguey, Cuba), is a great missionary, pastor and passionate about working with young people, homeless and children.
Social Activity
Because of his passion for the truth and the social doctrine of the church, he has recently been persecuted, beaten and imprisoned.
